BACKGROUND AND EXPERTISE

  • I grew up in central Alabama and graduated from the University of Montevallo with my undergrad degree, and I am currently working on my master's degree through the University of Alabama.

  • I have been a practicing Registered dietitian for 2 years, working primarily with eating disorders, but I am trained in all aspects of clinical nutrition and enjoy working with a variety of clients meet their health goals.

NUTRITION PHILOSOPHY

  •  I approach nutrition through a holistic lens. Meaning, that true health and wellness is not limited to physical health, but also mental, emotional, spiritual, social, financial, etc. Nourishing yourself is not confined to what you eat. To nourish means to feed, provide for, cherish, cultivate, encourage, and to support. I do not believe that you are a problem to be fixed, but you are enough just as you are. I meet clients where they are at and help to guide them toward their goals.

  • I believe that intuitive eating is possible for everyone! Intuitive eating invites individuals to reconnect with their body's innate wisdom , trust internal cues, and cultivate a compassionate and joyful relationship with food.

  • I believe that all foods fit! While food serves as fuel and nourishment, it also provides other things as well! Food can cultivate connection with others or even serve as a creative outlet. While often overlooked, these functions are also very important for overall wellbeing.
