Her approach
All foods fit
Melissa’s nutrition philosophy centers on the idea that all foods fit. She focuses on what you can add to your plate and your life, rather than labeling foods as off-limits.
“There’s no reason you can’t achieve your goals while still enjoying a sweet treat or yummy snack. It’s all about adding joy to your plate and your life.”
Making positive changes for your health is not about perfection. Life ebbs and flows, but as long as you are consistent overall, you see change. Melissa works to create a positive atmosphere, and she approaches each situation with empathy and understanding.
What she finds most rewarding
Melissa loves helping people challenge long-held beliefs about food that have held back their nutrition and health goals in the past. She gets to be part of people’s journeys, helping them feel confident and discover what really works for them. It is especially fulfilling when clients find their groove and see the lasting impact of small, manageable changes.
How she builds your plan
Melissa takes your lifestyle, preferences and life challenges into account. The goal is a personalized plan that is not only successful but also enjoyable for you. Expect a realistic, inclusive approach that improves your relationship with food, not a list of rules.
Her background
Melissa is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LDN) with a master’s degree in health science (MHSc) from Cedar Crest College. She grew up in New Jersey and earned her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University.
