What's usually covered

How nutrition visits work with Curative.

WebRD Dietitians is an in-network provider for Curative. Under the Affordable Care Act, most health plans cover visits with a Registered Dietitian as preventive care, which often means $0 out of pocket when you see an in-network dietitian.

Curative offers more than one plan, so the details can differ from one plan to another. The things that change most are how many visits are covered each year, whether a visit counts as preventive or medical, and whether a referral is needed. We find all of this out for you before your first visit.

People usually come to us for help with weight and GLP-1 medications, prediabetes and diabetes, heart health, or gut health. Tell us your goals when you book, and we'll match you with the right dietitian.

We bill in network for clients in Georgia, Florida, California and Pennsylvania, in person at our Alpharetta and Buckhead offices or by secure video.

Before your first visit

What you need, and what we handle.

What to have ready

  • Your Curative member card, front and back
  • The name of the person the plan is under, if it isn't you
  • Your doctor's name, in case your plan asks for a referral

What we check for you

  • Whether nutrition visits are covered as preventive care, medical care, or both
  • How many visits your plan covers each year
  • Any deductible, copay or coinsurance
  • Whether you need a referral
  • Whether video visits are covered the same as office visits

Plans that work differently

Not every Curative plan is the same.

Why we check every plan

Two people with Curative cards can have different benefits, because they may be on different plans. A quick check from us saves you from guessing. If anything you'd owe comes back above $0, we tell you before your first visit, and you decide what to do.

If a visit isn't covered

If your plan doesn't cover nutrition visits, you can still see us at our self-pay rates: $225 for the first visit (60 minutes) and $110 for follow-ups. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

Video visits

You can see any of our three dietitians by secure video, or see Emily Razza or Jackie Warren in person. We check that your plan covers video visits too.
