Who this is for
Not sure which page is you?
That's normal. Most people come in for more than one reason.
My weight, blood sugar and cholesterol are all creeping up at once.
I'm on a GLP-1 and I want to keep my results.
My doctor mentioned prediabetes and high cholesterol in the same visit.
My stomach is the reason I can't stick to anything.
I just want someone to tell me what to actually eat.
I'm exhausted by dieting and want to stop thinking about food all day.

Why it overlaps
One plan, more than one goal.
Weight, blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure are closely linked. Dietitians call this cardiometabolic health. A change that helps one often helps the others.
Registered Dietitians provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling. We do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication. We work alongside your doctor, and with your permission we send visit notes back.
Working with a WebRD dietitian
The same care, whatever brings you in.
First visit
A full 60 minutes
We go through your health history, labs, medications and goals. You leave with a few first steps you can actually do that week.
Follow-ups
Steady support
Shorter visits to check in, solve what got in the way, and adjust the plan. Every visit ends with your next one booked.
Your care team
Alongside your doctor
With your permission, we send visit notes back to your physician so your care stays connected. We never prescribe or change medication.
Most clients who do well meet weekly or every other week for about their first 8 visits. Your dietitian recommends the schedule based on how much support you need right now, and you choose the day and time.
Your dietitians
Three dietitians, three approaches.
You'll see the same dietitian every visit. Pick whoever sounds right, or tell us your goals and we'll suggest a match.

Insurance and cost
Usually covered. Always checked first.
Most commercial insurance plans cover visits with a Registered Dietitian, often as preventive care. Some need a referral or limit visits. We check your benefits and tell you your cost in writing before your first visit.
We bill insurance in network for clients in Georgia, Florida, California and Pennsylvania. Medicare covers visits with a dietitian only for diabetes, chronic kidney disease (stages 3 to 5, not on dialysis), or within 36 months of a kidney transplant, with a referral from your doctor. It does not cover nutrition visits for weight, prediabetes, heart health or gut health alone.

Questions
Before you book.
I have more than one concern. Which page should I start with?
Any of them. Book one visit and bring everything. Your dietitian will decide with you what to work on first.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Usually not, but a few plans require one, and Medicare always does. We tell you when we check your benefits.
Does insurance cover a dietitian?
Most commercial plans do. Medicare covers it only for diabetes and chronic kidney disease, with a referral. We check your plan before your first visit.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Dietitians don't prescribe or change medication doses. We work alongside your doctor or prescriber on the nutrition side.
Can I see you if I don't live in Georgia?
Yes, by video, if you're in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia or Washington at the time of your visit.
Do you work with employers?
Yes. We offer lunch-and-learns and wellness workshops for teams. See corporate wellness.
Start with one visit.
