Planning your budget
How many visits most people need.
Your dietitian recommends a schedule at your first visit, based on what you need right now. Most of our successful clients meet weekly or every other week for about their first 8 visits. After that, visits can spread out as you build confidence.
For example, a first visit plus seven follow-ups comes to $995 ($225 + 7 × $110). There is no long contract.
If you have insurance, it is worth checking before you pay yourself. Many plans cover nutrition visits as preventive care, and we check your benefits for free. Check my coverage.
Out-of-network plans
Using a superbill to get money back.
If we are not in network with your plan, you pay at the time of your visit. We then give you a superbill. That is a detailed, itemized receipt with the information insurance companies ask for. You can send it to your plan for possible partial payback.
Every plan handles this differently. Before you start, call the member services number on your insurance card and ask how out-of-network nutrition visits are reimbursed. Our insurance page lists the questions to ask.
On Medicare and coming in for weight, prediabetes or general wellness? Medicare doesn't cover those visits, so they are billed at these self-pay rates. Our Medicare coverage page explains why.
Cancellation and no-show policy
We hold your time just for you.
We plan our day around your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, at least 24 hours' notice lets us offer that time to someone else.
24 hours or more
Cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice or more: no charge, any time.
Under 24 hours
Late cancellations (under 24 hours) and missed appointments: a $50 fee applies.
Life happens. If something urgent comes up, just reach out. We're reasonable, and we'd always rather help you reschedule than charge a fee.
